The Hamburg Welcome Center will be closed to the public until fruther notice (at least April 9, 2020) due to the risk of infection with the coronavirus (Covid-19).
We are still reachable by e-mail to email@example.com. Due to the many requests and the personnel situation, please be prepared for longer response times.
You can send us documents by e-mail. We will inform you about the further procedure in due course.
If you require a residence permit for taking up employment in a medical profession, please contact us via email.
If you have a residence title (residence permit or D visa) which will soon expire and you have submitted an application for a residence permit, you will continue to stay legally in Germany after the expiry of the residence title.
The same applies if you have entered Germany without a visa and can apply for a residence permit on the basis of your nationality (Australia, Israel, Japan, Canada, South Korea and United States).
In the current situation, we consider an already booked appointment or an appointment request as an application.
Furthermore, your stay remains legal if a fictional title (Fiktionsbescheinigung) has been issued and it expires.
If you leave Germany in the meantime and do not have a valid residence title at the time of the planned return to Germany, please contact the German embassy abroad for re-entry.
We ask for your understanding and wish you good health!
